Privacy Policy

Collection and use of your information: Canada Glass & Mirror Co. (“CGM”) may collect personal information from you when you contact our team to request an installation estimate or to place an order.  Such personal information usually includes your name, e-mail address, address and possibly your credit card information. The information CGM collects from you may be used to process transactions, personalize your experience, improve customer service, improve our website or send periodic emails to inform you about new services or product information, special offers, discounts, changes to our business, information about our company or other related information. If you choose not to opt in to our mailing list, we will not send information to you other than information related to your personal orders, questions or other matters that are not specific to your personal circumstances.

Protection of your information: CGM values your privacy and will not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information without your consent. This does not include trusted third parties who assist CGM in operating its website, conducting its business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. CGM may also release your information to authorities and others if required to comply with the law or to protect CGM rights, property or safety. All supplied credit card information will be kept confidential and will be disposed after 60 days. When paying online or by telephone for any CGM services, you will be using the credit card facilities of an online payment provider. Any confirmation given during the payment process will be received on the payment provider server and will be governed by its privacy policy.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties:  Occasionally, at our discretion, CGM may include or offer third party products or services on its website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. CGM therefore has no responsibility nor liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.

Canada Glass & Mirror Co. – Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions are incorporated into and form part of your contract with Canada Glass & Mirror Co. (“CGM”) together with any quotes, purchase orders or invoices generated by CGM including any other documents or change orders, revisions, amendments and supplementary agreements issued by CGM from time to time.  All quotes provided by CGM are valid for a period of 30 days only.

All materials provided by CGM for supply or installation are produced by third parties and are delivered in an “as is” condition without any express or implied warranties of any kind (other than manufacturer’s warranties). To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, CGM disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose or use. CGM does not warrant or make any representations of any kind regarding the use, reliability, effectiveness or fitness for purpose of the materials supplied or installed by CGM.  Due to the brittle and fragile nature of certain types of glass and mirrors, CGM shall not be responsible for breakage or damage during installation, unless the damage arises as a result of the gross negligence of CGM’s employees.  Replacement of vinyl glass stops and other items that commonly break during installation are not included in quote.

Unless the parties otherwise agree in writing, CGM shall only be responsible for the supply of labour and materials that conform with the samples, specifications, drawings or other description furnished to or by Canada Glass & Mirror Co. and based on CGM work being completed on a single day between 9 am – 5 pm.  In the event the installation or other work to be completed by CGM extends beyond said hours or into a second day, the customer shall be responsible for any and all overtime charges, extras and other unforeseen charges at CGM standard rates. GST/HST must be charged on all materials and services provided by CGM and taxes cannot be waived if the customer opts to pay cash for such services or materials.  Title to goods and materials supplied by CGM will not be deemed or construed to be transferred until CGM has received payment in full.

Standard Payment Terms: All customers must provide a deposit of 50% of the quote amount to CGM on or before the date that CGM orders or prepares materials and labour for the proposed work with the balance of the quote to be paid on the date of installation or supply by CGM.  No holdbacks or deferral of payment of the contract price shall be permitted without the express consent of CGM.  Customers or suppliers that wish to establish an account with CGM must be first approved by CGM for creditworthiness.  Approval for waiver of deposit or a credit account shall be in CGM’s sole and unfettered discretion.  Credit card payments may be subject to an additional 3% transaction levy. All accounts that are not paid within 10 days shall bear interest at the rate of 1% per month, calculated monthly.  Missed or cancelled installation dates or appointments may be subject to additional charges payable as and when directed by CGM.

CGM is not responsible for obtaining any special consents, permits and/or approvals; it being understood and agreed that the customer shall be responsible for ensuring building permits, condominium regulations, zoning by-laws and landlord or property management approvals have been obtained if and as applicable.  Removal of existing materials and repairs to adjacent walls, frames and other items are not included in CGM’s quotation and may be subject to additional charges. While CGM aims to provide up-to-date and accurate information, in the event that an error or unforeseen circumstance occurs, CGM reserves the right to correct or cancel any order or quotation at any time, and/or edit or correct a CGM order or quotation.  Parking and access for CGM workers and contractors to the job site must be provided by the customer, otherwise CGM shall be entitled to charge an additional parking expense as an extra to the quoted work.
